LABORATORY HEALTH TESTS

There are many well-established laboratory tests that can help determine the cause of various health problems For example, are hormones out of balance, is there a high bone turnover or candida, or could an allergy be causing problems? All these symptoms and conditions, and many more, can be detected scientifically by undertaking simple and in most cases, non-invasive tests.

Once we know what the problem is, we can recommend the right treatment for that particular condition, or at least identify what it is that they need treatment for, for example hormonal imbalances By conducting a mineral analysis hair test or a personalised supplement nutritional analysis, we identify any deficiencies and create a supplement programme designed specifically to address the problem.

The tests we offer include:

  • Nutritional Deficiency Blood Test – which measures vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin D, vitamin C, B vitamins, calcium, Chromium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Selenium, Zinc, red cell magnesium, omega 6 and omega 3 essential fats General Blood Test – to measure full blood count, Liver Function, Kidney Function. Glucose, HbA1c, HDL and LDL. Cholesterol, Thyroid Function plus Thyroid Antibodies, Iron, Ferritin as appropriate
  • Digestive Test – levels of good and bad bacteria (pathogenic), yeast, parasites and how well you digest protein, fats and carbs.
  • Hormonal Imbalances Test– oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone, to name a few. This test is particularly useful for fertility and women’s hormone problems.

  • Bone Turnover Test – measuring the level of a certain protein, called N-telopeptides that is present in the urine when bone breakdown is high. This test is useful for those with osteopenia and/or osteoporosis as it shows how fast or slow you are losing bone
  • DNA test – how you should be eating for your genetic make-up and what type of exercise suits you the best. It also checks for your risk of lactose and coeliac disease, how well you detoxify, your need for certain nutrients, your sensitivity to caffeine and salt.
